This may well be the biggest Bon Jovi fan project that was ever done with regard to live recorded shows. I got the idea for it about 2 months after the show, when they had collected four or five video sources plus an audio bootleg. Honestly I had almost forgotten about it until I met another BJ fan of my age from Germany via ICQ early 2009. He was new to the BJ world and I once sent him the audio of this show and told him what I once had planned to do with the show. He was immediately on fire and asked me if we could do this thing together, where I at first stayed pretty sceptical. But then he ripped all "Livin' On A Prayer" videos from Coventry 2008 from YT and made a multicam mix because he wanted to prove me that he know how to deal with videos. This was the result: Me and Johny (who I asked for his opinion) were blown away by the work he had done and from that moment on I started tracking down everyone and everything I knew was at that show. It's often mentioned that BJ fans are assholes when it comes to giving away self-recorded videos, but I have to say in all honesty that every person I asked provided his/her video. In the end we had about 20+ recordings and started working in August/september last year. And we were just having a blast. There were days where we were discussing about several cuts on some videos for over 3 hours. We didn't just want to take one camera and let it run as long as possible and then switch to another source to compile the concert, we wanted to create sth special and therefore worked on it like we were having Pro Shot material. During the time we were editing, a lot of problems appeared. For example: We had almost 15 different sources for songs like "I'll Sleep When I'm Dead ~ Mercy ~ Start Me Up", "Always" or "Hey God", but only one or two for songs like "Runaway" or "Someday I'll Be Saturday Night". Fortunately I had found a cell phone who filmed almost the complete show from one of the first rows on the left side of the pit and this one was used to patch those songs (just in case you think it's ripped from a webstream). In the end the concert was done to about 95% with original material, a few times we cheated and put in some YT rips. We weren't able to find enough videos for "Who Says You Can't Go Home", so decided to use it for the credits. But we didn't want to be as boring as Obie was and just add it at the end of the show with "Who Says You Can't Go Home" as background music, so we edited a special video and put the credits straight into the concert. This DVD set features 2 audio tracks, one was remastered track-by-track, the second one is the original audio bootleg. The menu artwork was completely done by Ely, a big thank you goes to him! To finish my endless writing I just wanted to state that if I ever will make such a project again in my life, I wouldn't wanna do it with anyone else than with Marc. Sure, he was driving me crazy a few times (and the other way around), but he really worked his ass off to make this a special thing to remember. We surely didn't have phenomenal material to work with, but this once was done with much more heart and passion than the MSG DVD! Spread these DVDs to fans all over the world, trade it, love it, hate it, but don't ever sell it!!!
