Before you choose to trade this show, please read this to make sure that you really want it. This was the first show that I went to on The Circle tour, and I should have seen what happened as an omen of what was to come. As it turns out, I've had a terrible time trying to get recordings at my shows. Sometimes I've been at fault, but most of the time, it's just been a matter of sh*t happening. I will be sharing some of my recordings here on DIME, but sadly most of them have an "issue" or two. So read the following and decide if you want the recording or not. Issue One - I had been using a borrowed set of Core Sound mics while I waited for my Church Audio mics to arrive. These mics had caused problems on occasion for the owners which is why they were their back-ups. On this night, the right channel was shorting out and causing all sorts of distortions on the recording. Fortunately this didn't happen all through the show - it was mostly during the acoustic set when the signal to noise ratio was so low. All you could hear was scratching. Here's Kathleen's account of what she did during editing to attempt to deal with this problem: I fixed a couple of places in Audition with the brush tool and the spectral response view (this is really the most awesome tool). During the acoustic set it was so bad that I deleted the right track and replaced it with the left track, which is why it says mono on the list below. I played around with some delay and echo so it didn't sound absolutely dead, dry mono. You might hear a few more slight scratches or pops but there is nothing major left. Issue Two - The show is incomplete. Someone crashed into me when the crowd surged forward when JBJ reached the Circle part of the stage during "Love's The Only Rule". Unfortunately, I didn't have the hold engaged, and the collision must have stopped the recording. Lesson learned... the hard way. As you can see, I didn't miss anything rare after the recording stopped. Unfortunately, the problem with the mics could not be repaired, and I was not able to record on the second night in Montreal I'll always regret that as it was an outstanding show, and the first Always of the tour opened the second encore.
